Monday bookish hang-out #1 (Seasons)

Sometimes I just wish we all could sit and hang out over a cup of coffee (or tea) and talk about bookish things. So, this is what I am doing right now. This is not a book tag – this is a book hang out. I figured Mondays are often so hard, so why not do something pleasant on them as well?

I am well aware that today is Tuesday 🙂 I just didn’t want to post on a holiday. But the next Monday hang-out will be on a Monday.

I will post every week – and every week we will have a different theme to hang out and talk about. I would love if you guys just commented below your ideas, interest, loves, favorites and all bookish related things.

So, grab a cup of coffee (tea, juice, wine) and let’s chat. giphy-2

Questions below are just guidelines 🙂 You don’t have to answer them in order, and you don’t even have to answer them all.

What is your favorite season? – I love two seasons. And I love them equally, but in very different ways. I love Autumn for colorful leaves, cooler weather, layers of cute clothing, scarves, hot steaming coffees, fall festivals, pumpkin picking and fall harvests. I love Spring for new leaf buds, crisp air, roaring waterfalls, layers of cute clothing, first flowers poking through snow and the feeling like the earth is being reborn again.

Do you have a favorite book of that season? – For fall I love to read (or watch a movie version of) Coraline by Neil Gaiman. It’s just so perfect – rainy and a bit spooky. This year I am planning to read some books by Ray Bradbury, as I’ve heard he is very autumn themed. For spring I just love books that have mature in them, and magic. Nothing particular in mind though.

It’s fall! What are you the most excited about? – I kind of answered this question already 🙂 But I am so excited to wear cute boots, and scarves and hold steaming cups of coffee while walking in the park, watching the leaves change colors. I live in Pennsylvania – so we get breathtaking colors – from bright sunny yellow to bright blood reds and deep plums.

Your most anticipated fall release? – This one is so easy. I only have one, but it’s a very good one. The language of thorns by Leigh Bardugo ❤ I mean, just look at the art from it. It’s just so Autumn perfect, and just soooooo beautiful. 1502122643-1502122643_goodreads_misc

Please recommend me some perfect Autumn reads. Witchy vibes and magic encouraged:)

  1. I feel the same way about seasons. Fall is my ultimate favorite, but spring is amazing. The weather for the two are amazing. In autumn, I get really in the mood for Harry Potter. Like, right now, I’m itching to read it. That or Stephen King and horror in general. Fall is always a double edged sword for me, so I’m looking forward to the cooler weather and also not looking forward to the lack of sunlight that kills me. As for a fall release, maybe Stephen King’s new book. It does look like a good one.

And, I really like this idea! It’s cool and I can’t wait to see more of this series.

    1. Ahhh I love finding people who love Autumn as much as I do 🙂 Although I have to totally agree that lack of sun also kills me. I am very much like the weather, hence gloomy weather means gloomy Iryna. Although hot coffee and tea help:)
I’ve been itching to actually rewatch the HP, since I reread them all in January. And yes, I need to read some horror come October.

      1. I already feel the weather getting to me and it’s still nice and light here. I use other methods during the winter than coffee or tea.

Nice! I need to decide what to read during October. I’ll be watching all the horror movies for sure.

  2. This is crazy awesome! I’m from PA, myself so I know what you mean by talking about the weather. I haven’t met a single person that book-blogs from here until now.

I’m excited about cozying up with large blankets and reading a lot.
However, I really don’t like the cold but thankfully yesterday we had 80°

    1. ohhh awesome!
Can you believe leaves are already turning? where did the summer go??

I like cold – because I like to layer up and bundle up, but I hate when it’s cold AND raining – yuckkkk (and unfortunately we also have a lot of that).
It has been warm and sunny past few days – so I am soaking up the last of sunshine 🙂
