WWW Wednesday (August 8)

Happy Wednesday everybody!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading  – an ARC of The day the angels fell by Shawn Smucker.

I only just started, about 20 pages in – but it’s pretty good so far.

The book opens with a perspective of a very old man. A bit grumpy, set in his ways, but very nice old man. Who had a tragic experience while he was growing up.

It then proceeds to tell the story from a point of view of his 12 year old self.  Writing is good, so I am enjoying it so far.

This was one of the books sent to me by LibraryThing, as part of their Early Reviewer program.

Just finished reading  – Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman.9780735220683

If I had to describe it in one word, I’d have to say brilliant!

Bloody brilliant!

I was so sad when I finished the book, but only because I wanted more. More of Eleanor. More of her prickliness. More of her sadness. More.

It is now on my all time favorites list.

I got my copy from the library, but I will definitely be purchasing my own.

Next I will probably readPretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard The_original_cover_of_the_first_book_in_the_series,_Pretty_Little_Liars

I used to watch the show (haven’t finished it yet, though). So I thought I’d try the books.

Mainly because I wanted some easy, quick and dramatic. Cheesy? Very teenage like? Summery? All of those. And also because I got four of PPL books from the thrift store, so now I have to read them.

Unless I change my mind and read something else.

That’s it for my www Wednesday.

Till next time. ❤

  1. The Pretty Little Liars series is actually one of my guilty pleasure series! They’re such fast paced & suspenseful reads, and while some of it is a little over the top with high school drama, it’s still a lot of fun. In my opinion, the first four books are the best…the rest are good but not the same level (sometimes I wonder if it’s because Sara was originally contracted with it being a four book series). I’ve actually seen Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine around, but I haven’t looked into it that much….but now that you’re saving it’s brilliant I’m thinking I need to change that. Happy reading! 🙂
